A life built on the sands of celebrity can be wrecked by the rains of reverses. A life built on the sands of materialism can be destroyed by the floods of adversity. A life built on the sands of pleasure can be blown down by the winds of disillusionment. Only the life that is built on the rock of character can withstand the tempests of time.

Personal Power is not about physical, brute strength. It is not about having a huge financial net worth. It is not about the number and height of our successes and accomplishments. It is not about the number of people we control or our personal influence. It is not about being perfect. It is not about fame, the house we live in, the car we drive, or the clothes we wear. It is not about political muscle, either.

Personal power is the strength, substance, and character of our inner being. It is about living our lives in Truth. Personal power is the discernment to know the difference between Truth and true. It is knowing that whatever challenges life puts on our path, we will prevail. Personal power is about learning and growing. It is the appreciation for All That Is. It is about the kindness we carry in our hearts.

Personal Power is about knowing who we are. It is an acceptance of ourselves. It is knowing our life purpose and pursuing that purpose. It is about knowing our heart’s desire and pursuing that which fulfills us. Personal power is about being whole and complete just as we are. It is about our commitment to ourselves. It is about having the emotional courage to pursue our life purpose, our heart’s desires, being whole, and being committed to ourselves.

The beliefs we have about ourselves, about power, and about us being powerful will dictate our level of power and being powerful. Below are ten EFT tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique) statements to tap out.

EFT tapping statements for personal power:

* I’m too insecure to be powerful.
* I don’t know how to be powerful.
* Being powerful makes me a target.
* I lack the self-esteem to be powerful.
* I’m not smart enough to be powerful.
* It is beyond my capabilities to be powerful.
* My thoughts and actions are not congruent.
* I would be laughed at if I tried to be powerful.
* No one would ever believe that I was powerful.
* Only those with a title, position, and wealth are powerful.
